Is it 2019 already or are we in for a surprise for the coming new year. Instagram just rolled out it's latest update and it has overhauled our much beloved feed by allowing it's users to swipe sideways instead of scrolling longways. As the saying goes, any update is good update, the company cares for you and wants you to be engaged blah blah. However, it's the uproar that this new update has caused and it literally is melting the internet. We checked on Twitter to see the reactions from fellow users and damn no one seems to be happy.

This new Instagram update is dumb. Why get rid of the scrolling feature? It’s been like that since the beginning. Why would you do this. This reminds me of that awful Snapchat update that they had to change back to normal because it sucked so bad. @instagram #ChangeItBack

The update was that universally hated that it’s #1 on trending, Facebook stock nosedived and they’ve changed it back… in the space of 30 mins! #instagramupdate

Some users have reported that their feed has gone back to normal whereas some are stuck with the new update. Most importantly, reports do suggest that new the update was rolled out by accident and has been reverted for now, possibly due to the onslaught of user complaints online.
