Writing to Santa has become a tradition since the 1870's believe it or not and with Christmas just around the corner, it's only fair we share some of the hilarious letters children have written to Santa this year. Did you know that in the United States, there was program which begun in 1954. This programme involved kids sending their letters to Santa ie to a small town in Alaska, North Pole. Many volunteers would par take in this and respond to the letters and to keep up with the authenticity of the replies, it came with a North Pole stamp. This program has now been stopped which is a real shame as we humans would love to keep this tradition going. Have a look at these letters and then you will see why.

I'm flummoxed by my daughter's letter to Santa: "I need an Apple Watch". The expectations of an 8 year old! #parenting #wishlist #santa #Apple

My 5 year old daughter had us write a letter to Santa Claus that said "if you can't get me what I've asked for, I completely understand. Please thank the elves for working so hard!"
My heart hurts.

Santa wrote back! We wrote a letter when we received our elf to let Santa know that he arrived safely and he sent us a return with some sunflower seeds from the North Pole. pic.twitter.com/HyeGaR4He5
