Well I don't know about you, but I at least attempt to avoid putting my life in danger unnecessarily, whilst the thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies amongst us thrust themselves into crocodile pits, throw themselves out of aeroplanes from 10,000 feet, and in this case, play besties with Simba.
Now don't get me wrong, I have to give credit to Kevin for having the courage to do what he is doing. It's a beautiful sight, man at one with the king of the jungle, but who knows what the lion is thinking, perhaps they're playing the long game, slowly tenderising the man, until one day which I hope will never happen, when he is somewhat peckish, his instincts might take over, and this man will whisper no more, but rather be a tasty appetizers, no spices needed.
I wish him the best of course, as I sit here reclining on my sofa, petting my 4 pound tabby cat, thankful that if his prehistoric instincts take over, and decides that his 'Sheba' pet food isn't quite hitting the spot, then I'm quite confident that I'll win that battle.
But without a shadow of a doubt, Kevin Richardson indeed can call himself The Lion Whisperer. On his YouTube channel, he captures the majority of his footage on GoPro cameras, allowing the viewer to get as close as possible to the lions.
