Whoever still doubts the power of social media, needs to think again. Just one day after Billy By (@hibillyby) shared photos of his dad in the empty shop with a tweet "My dad is sad cause no one is coming to his new donut shop", customers flocked to the newly-opened store near Houston, Texas. By said on Sunday that the store had completely sold out of doughnuts and other baked goods.

The tweet very quickly went viral garnering over 245k retweets and still counting, this even caught the eye of the local media, celebrities including Casey Neistat, James Wester to name a few.

Little known fact: Texas cities have a lot of small donut shops. They are all better than the big chains. So if you’re in the Houston metro area, pay Billy’s Donuts a visit. (I will be there next month.) https://t.co/2fvCZOIVsi
