Everybody knows that it is illegal to text and drive in the UK. Guess this driver was not aware of the law. The man was caught by Merseyside Police road unit for failing to wear a seat belt and using his mobile phone. What caught everyone's attention was when the Merseyside Police tweeted this
The driver's excuse for using his mobile phone "I was just putting a laughing emoji to my girlfriend". So in true troll form, the Merseyside Road Policing Unit tweeted their response with 14 emoji's to share their story on Twitter
This prompted many users on Twitter to respond to the force's creativity.
👍👍👍👍👍📵💯 if driver can only communicate via 😊 is he capable of reading the Highway Code? 🙀😤😡

Full marks for creativity. Or 'LOL' as 'the kids' are wont to say.

Driving with phone with laughing emoji = police with lights stopping you and u are confused, police writes a citation which equals to 6 points on your license, a fine, which equals to your dissapointment

That is shocking and hilarious in equal measure

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you do say will be taken down and may be encoded into an emoji"
